Vowel-heavy words like today's aeonian look a little bizarre, but they'd be great for getting rid of a vowel-heavy hand of Scrabble letters. Can you recall these others? I've removed only their vowels:
Something _p_q__ is not see-through: it's unclear and hard to understand.
And something _s_r___s unfairly takes advantage of people by charging them way too much money.

"AEONIAN"
An aeon (or eon) is an extremely long period of time, or an eternity.
So, something aeonian (or eonian, or aeonial, or aeonic) lasts for an extremely long time.
Pronunciation:
ee YO nee un
Part of speech:
Adjective.
(Adjectives are describing words, like "large" or "late."
They can be used in two ways:
1. Right before a noun, as in "an aeonian thing."
2. After a linking verb, as in "It was aeonian.")
Other forms:
The noun is "aeon" or "eon," both pronounced "EE yon."
Other adjectives that mean the same thing as "aeonian" are "eonian," "aeonial," and "aeonic." (I'm focusing on "aeonian" because it seems the most common.)
How to use it:
This is a dramatic word we use for exaggeration.
The tone is often negative ("this aeonian annoyance") but can also be positive ("aeonian childhood days"). Occasionally the tone is religious: "aeonian torment," "aeonian life."
Talk about aeonian tasks, chores, jobs, activities, journeys, processes, etc.; aeonian qualities, like aeonian beauty or optimism; aeonian geographical features, like aeonian cliffs, mountains, or waterfalls; the aeonian past or future; or aeonian hours, days, seasons, etc.
examples:
Since discovering a kitty litter that doesn't scatter, I'm so glad to be free from the aeonian task of sweeping it up.
If you're wearing the wrong shoes, a day at work can feel aeonian.
study it now:
Look away from the screen to explain the definition in your own words. You’ll know you understand what "aeonian" means when you can explain it without saying "everlasting" or "termless."
try it out:
Fill in the blanks: "If I don't _____, then _____ becomes an aeonian process."
Example: "If I didn't arrive at least an hour before class, then looking for a parking spot became an aeonian process."
